CONTENT WARNING — HORROR. 

Your truck died about four miles in. There's a paper map in your pocket

with seven circles on it, a carbine that holds two rounds, and maybe six

hours of daylight.

The circles are straw men. They stand at the far ends of the road with

their arms out. Burn them and go home.

It gets darker after each one. That part isn't the weather.

WHAT YOU'RE UP AGAINST

The cold. The orange bar is warmth. It only goes up at a fire, and it runs

out faster the later it gets. Nothing in this game heals you.

The dark. Every straw man you light drags the sun down with it. By the last

one the only light left in the forest is fire.

Them. They start showing up around the third burn. They keep their

distance. They keep off the road. There are more of them every time.
